As a result, Kristin has a passion for working with other families and children with rare diseases and is currently researching rare diseases and the impact on mental health.

Kristin believes that every client is unique! Therefore, she tailors counseling techniques to meet the individual client’s needs. As a result, Kristin offers an eclectic approach & may utilize a variety of therapies to include but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT); Sociometrics & Psychodrama; Inner Child Work; Logotherapy; Internal Family Systems; Solution Focused; & Trauma Systems/Trauma Informed Care.  She is open to integrating Spirituality into therapy sessions based on the comfort level of or at the request of the client.

In addition to her passion for the rare disease world, Kristin also specializes in eating disorders and codependency. She has extensive training in internal family systems as well as Trauma Systems Therapy/Trauma Informed Care and has served as Trauma Systems Coordinator at a residential treatment facility.
